Wake up to a breakfast prepared for you of fluffy hot cakes, freshly cooked eggs how you like them, buttermilk biscuits, and  sausage country gravy. After a long day of hiking of Mt. St. Helens enjoy a dinner of our famous home made Logger Stew or how about our Backwoods Style Chili, both served in a Sourdough Bread Bowl.  Our Dinner menu also includes Steak & Chicken.

We also serve "Original Mrs Smith's (Mariam - Marks Mom) home made pies, prepared daily by her son Mark,
who continues to keep her legendary desserts alive and well.  Try the, Marion Berry, Coconut Cream, Lemon Meringue, Chocolate,  Apple, and Fruits of the Forest (mixture of local berries) with a scoop of ice cream, you won't be disappointed. Ask what Mark has baked up today!

 

The Backwoods Cafe is open in the morning for breakfast at 8:00 am and closes at 10:00 am,  Dinner at the Backwoods Cafe opens at 5:00 pm and closes at 7:00 pm.  Reservations are preferred at time of booking.
 

We proudly feature Swofford Family Farm produce at our cafe. They are located just a few miles from our Resort
in Toutle WA. We are thrilled they have started their little farm in our neck of the woods!
